Magpul MBUS 3 Front and Rear Backup Sight Set
This Magpul MBUS 3 set combines the MAG1166 front sight and MAG1167 rear sight into one matched backup-sight package. The parent listing offers Black, FDE and ODG variants. Both sights use impact-resistant polymer bodies, spring-loaded ambidextrous deployment buttons and standard AR sight height. They attach to compatible M1913 Picatinny rails and fold into a compact profile when not in use.
Front and rear adjustments
The MAG1166 front sight provides tool-less elevation adjustment and a dual-width post with 0.06-inch standard and 0.04-inch match options. It folds to approximately 0.47 inches tall and weighs 0.88 ounce with hardware. The MAG1167 rear sight supplies tool-less windage adjustment and a rapid-select aperture system. It folds to approximately 0.55 inches and weighs 1.06 ounces with hardware.

The front sight cannot be installed on a railed gas block because of excess heat; Magpul specifies mounting it to a railed forend on the same plane as the receiver rail. The existing catalog MPN “MAG167” should be corrected to “MAG1167.”
