The Taurus 608 Competition (MPN: 2-608069CMP) is a purpose-built competition revolver chambered for .357 Magnum and .38 Special +P. Based on the eight-shot 608 platform, the Competition model adds match-oriented features from the factory so a shooter can start with a more specialized setup than the standard 608.

The revolver uses a 6-inch stainless-steel barrel, stainless frame and cylinder, and matte stainless finish. Its eight-round cylinder has chamfered charge holes and is cut for moonclips to support faster reloads. Taurus adds a green fiber-optic front sight, adjustable rear sight, tool-free adjustable trigger, and VZ Target grips. The rear sight can also be removed to accommodate compatible aftermarket optics mounts.
