Police Trade P229r
They are very fast and friendly at Recoil Gun Works. I called before ordering to make sure I had all the FFL information straight, hung up the phone and clicked submit. Ordered on April 18th and had the gun in my hand on April 22nd.
As for the firearm, it is wonderful. I think the officer who had it before me loved to shoot: a few nicks around the trigger guard (which is to be expected with any gun that's carried a lot) and some finish wear on the barrel, which is pretty normal for Sigs, but otherwise this gun is excellent. Slide finish is supurb, and the grips are the same as in the picture. You might not be able to tell in the photo, but there are serrations on the front strap as well as the front of the trigger guard. I've always wanted a DA/SA Sig but never had a spare $900 to drop on one.
Cost breakdown: $459.00 for the gun; $19 shipping; $35 FFL transfer fee
My total out the door: $513
Downside: No Box (A new box from Sig Sauer will set you back about $15. ) & only one magazine. Typically factory Sig magazines run about $40, but if you shop around you can find used 12 round LEO mags for $20 + shipping.
Take away: Buy one of these. You won't be disappointed.
