Exceptional Value & Service
Firearm arrived exactly as described, considering the fact that this was a law enforcement service sidearm it is in exceptional shape. External appearance with less than minimal wear, no holster marks, etc., mechanical functionality 100%, fires very well. Came with short extractor that I prefer, magazine base pad and night sights still functional, I only exchanged the recoil spring but that is something I do with every used firearm since we do not know how many rounds have been fired through it! The level of service received from Recoil Gunworks is also noteworthy; i.e., kudos to the team, I have been turned into a loyal customer! My next order will be on its way (30 day waiting period) and there will be another review forthcoming!
Good to fair condition at best...
I would not call them \"very good condition\". Good at best. Some wear, and mag. base plates were broken on both pistols I ordered...
COULD NOT BE HAPPIER
Picked up my P226 DAK 48 hours after my dealer emailed his FFL. Weapon came with E2 grips and was super clean. Very light wear on rails and exterior of barrel. I would estimate less than a thousand rounds(maybe a lot less) have gone thru this gun. Serial number indicates US manufacture in 2009. Exterior of gun and mag are nearly flawless. Your mileage may vary, but I would buy again from this seller.
Need to Re-evaluate Condition Rating System
The P226 I ordered was listed as "very good" condition.
The gun I got should've been more "Good" at best.
There were more nicks/dings/scratches than I've ever seen on a used firearm listed as "Very Good". The mag was beat up, and the barrel honestly I'm not sure that I'd trust it for accuracy or reliability. I'd probably have to buy another barrel. I was honestly surprised... I ALMOST gave 1 star in this review, but the price was decent.
I'd hoped to have found a website with honest evaluations of their firearms, but I'm not sure what to think about Recoil Gunworks.
I may be willing to give them a try again, but part of me wants to not take a chance at 2 bad apples--and spend my money elsewhere. There's a few pistols I want to buy too, I'm just not confident as I need to be to spend thousands of dollars.
Reocil--if you read these, I'd love to chat with someone.
